Company Overview

Suzanne Forbes is a nationally certified environmental planner (AICP) and is the President and sole owner of Forbes Environmental and Land Use Planning.  Forbes Environmental and Land Use Planning is a certified "Woman Owned Business" (WBE Certification).  Suzanne has spent the last 20 years working in the Environmental Planning and Science fields and has successfully created and completed a variety of projects and programs. 

Within that time period, Suzanne created and directed an environmental outreach and marketing program for an urban resource recovery facility, obtained funding for and completed several environmental planning publications for the Bucks County Planning Commission, directed a county conservation district department, and successfully secured clientele and created planning departments for two well-known, private  environmental engineering companies.  In the private sector, Forbes quickly rose through the ranks from Project Manager to Departmental Director. 

Suzanne Forbes, AICP started her own environmental planning and science consulting business in May 2002.  Suzanne has found that owning and operating her own business allows for increased project creativity as well as lower hourly rates for her clientele! 

Through the years, Suzanne Forbes AICP has cultivated a network of numerous clients and commonly partners with expert associates (e.g., Geographic Information Specialists, Environmental Engineers, Field Biologists, Hydrologists, Soil Scientists, and Environmental Attorneys) throughout the Delaware Basin.

Community Service

Suzanne Forbes, AICP believes in giving back to the community, and through the years has volunteered her expertise to many organizational project efforts. Forbes has been appointed to a variety of voluntary regional and local environmental committees including:

· PA DCNR’s Rivers Conservation Program Committee
· Pennsylvania Planning Association’s Municipal Planning Code Committee
· Delaware River Basin Commission Waterways Committee
· Delaware River Greenway Partnership’s Board of Directors and Wild & Scenic River Committees
· The  Delaware River Sojourn Planning Committee
· Bucks County Open Space Task Force
· Bucks County Natural Resources Inventory Technical Advisory Committee
· The Doylestown Environmental Advisory Council
· The Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania

Capital Improvements

Survey after survey has shown that Americans strongly support preserving the environment.  However, communities, environmental organizations, and individuals don’t always have the capital needed to fund the studies, projects, and resource protection regulations required to protect valued natural, historical, and recreational resources. 

Through the years, Suzanne Forbes, AICP has successfully procured hundreds of thousands of dollars for her clients in their efforts to protect, restore, and manage a myriad of environmental and historic resources.
